Your rights as a client receiving mental health services.

As a client, you have the right to:

  • Be treated with respect and dignity at all times.
  • Receive care in a safe, non-discriminatory environment.
  • Ask questions and receive clear answers about your care.
  • Know the credentials of your therapist.
  • Refuse treatment or request changes in your care.
  • Have your privacy and confidentiality protected.
  • File a grievance without retaliation if you feel your rights have been violated.
